Let your young artist explore color with natural paints and pigments in our ongoing fine arts classes taught by Savonna Nicole Atkins. Students will explore various themes in drawing and painting.

Meet the Instructor: Savonna Nicole Atkins

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, Savonna grew up attending Young People’s Studio classes at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. She later moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where in 2011 she received a B.A. in Recreation Therapy with minors in Studio Art and Psychology. For her undergraduate thesis work, she studied the effects of watercolor painting on the behaviors of older adults with dementia.
