About this experience

In this class, students will learn all the necessary skills and techniques to knit stranded colorwork. We will be knitting the Norwegian Star Hat by Cara Jo Knits. We will be using three skeins of biolana, and size 4  and size 6 needles (16" cable or magic loop). This is an intermediate class and requires familiarity with the following skills:



  • Knit in the round 

  • Read a chart 

  • Knit 2x2 rib

  • Decrease (k2tog) 


Students will learn the following techniques



  • Read a colorwork chart

  • Knit with 2 colors at once 

  • Catch floats 

  • Weave in ends as you go

  • magic loop
